Dear PeoplesChoice Credit Union Community,
I’m excited to share that I’m participating in the 2025 Carrabassett Valley Backcountry Cycle Challenge (CBCC) to raise funds for Apex Youth Connection! The CBCC is an annual mountain biking event through Maine’s beautiful Sugarloaf region, which pairs so well with Apex’s deep bicycling roots!
I have the great privilege of serving on the board of Apex Youth Connection. Our organization makes a huge difference in the lives of middle school and high school students who often don’t fit into the standard afterschool programs.
Apex Youth Connection changes the lives of young people in the Biddeford/Saco area. It’s done through after school, vacation and summer programs that teach youth skills that they can use throughout their lives. Whether it is our Apex Bike Factory, where they learn to fix bikes, or our gardening, art, STEM Café, or outdoor adventures, they are connected to caring adults who help them solve problems, learn new skills and have fun being a kid.
I’m raising money to help keep these valuable programs going and to help our kids succeed. They know they can come to Apex and feel loved, accepted and safe. Our goal is to help youth grow and develop their interests to be successful in relationships, educational pursuits, future employment, health and community engagement.
Apex serves over 150 youths every year and is open after school until 6pm. All of our programs are free which is why any donation is so important. There is very much a need for regular support to keep these programs thriving.
Please help me support Apex Youth Connection! I’ll personally match all donations received through this effort up to $1,000 so your donation will go even further! Apex Youth Connection is very much an organization worth supporting. If you wish to donate, please click here and be sure to write in CBCC in the space for public message when you donate so I know to match your generous gift!
Thank you for your support,
Adam Warfel
